Program Pathways

Upon completing the Advanced Board Design course, students who are ready to take their skills into the professional world may choose one of two distinct career pathways. Each pathway is built around active industry partnerships that connect classroom learning directly to Colorado's manufacturing and outdoor recreation economies.

Advanced Manufacturing Pathway (AMP)
The Advanced Manufacturing Pathway is designed for students who want to turn their hands-on fabrication experience into a career in skilled trades. Through a structured pre-apprenticeship with CoorsTek Academy, students receive industry-grade training in advanced manufacturing processes and materials — working alongside professionals in real production environments. Upon completing the apprenticeship, students are connected directly to employment opportunities through CoorsTek Academy's network of industry partners. AMP graduates leave high school with verified technical skills and a professional foothold in Colorado's advanced manufacturing sector.
Partner: CoorsTek Academy is a Golden-based workforce training program that bridges high school education and skilled manufacturing careers, offering structured apprenticeship experiences and direct pathways to employment with partner companies.
Business Administration & Marketing Pathway (BAM)
The Business Administration and Marketing Pathway is built for students drawn to the business side of the outdoor recreation industry. Through concurrent enrollment with Red Rocks Community College, students earn transferable college credit in business administration and marketing while still in high school — giving them a meaningful head start on a postsecondary credential. That coursework is paired with a real-world internship facilitated by OREC, placing students inside outdoor recreation companies where they can apply what they've learned in a professional setting. BAM graduates complete high school with both college credits on their transcript and documented industry experience.
Partner: Red Rocks Community College provides concurrent enrollment coursework in business and marketing, allowing Gone Boarding students to earn college credit tuition-free while completing their high school requirements.
Partner: OREC (Outdoor Recreation Industry Office) facilitates internship placements within Colorado's outdoor recreation economy, connecting students to companies and organizations that align with their interests and career goals.
